Long term plans for Primary
Our creative curriculum is tailor made for our unique pupils. All learning is embedded in our thematic approach with our pupils at the very centre. Each theme is linked to a careers week and a big question!
At Caldecott Foundation school, we are committed to providing a bespoke and personalised journey for every pupil. Our curriculum is comprehensive and inclusive, designed to support the academic, social, emotional, physical, and practical development of each learner. It caters to the diverse needs and interests of our pupils, preparing them effectively for future challenges and opportunities.
The curriculum enables our learners to be confident members of the world, whose voices are heard and who are prepared and able to address the obstacles that may limit them in fulfilling their ambitions.
The curriculum we create, and implement is one which is inspiring, supportive and inclusive, focusing on sequencing of learning from KS1 to KS4 which takes pupils from their unique starting points to a platform from which they can succeed post 16.
Therapy is woven into this curriculum model, which is also underpinned by a ‘values based approach’, whilst pupils are given every opportunity to develop their spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding and gain a deeper understanding of British values, preparing them for life outside of school in a diverse and modern Britain.
Building a strong sense of community within our school is crucial. We aim to create a ‘family’ atmosphere where pupils, staff, and families feel connected and supported.
