Award in the Green School Awards

We are delighted that Caldecott School and its Eco Council has received an award in the Energy Conservation Category of the Green School Awards!

The Eco Council evolved from a small group of students who were (and still are) passionate about environmental issues, and the student council harnesses their passion in improving our environmental impact. We are focused on Waste, Healthy Living, and Biodiversity, all of which helps us apply for a Green Flag Award in the future.

The Eco Council visited the Singleton Environmental Centre this year to expand their knowledge of biodiversity, and also made proposals to Caldecott’s chief executive about solar panels. We are immensely proud of our Eco Council, and for them to receive this award (at a wonderful awards ceremony at the Ashford International Hotel) was a fantastic achievement.
